Lily Stephan was born on the 19th of June 1946 to John Stephan and Mary Khoury. She married Nadeem Shwayri in 1966. After completing her GCE at the British Lebanese Training College, she started to work with her father at his company “Stephan & Co”. The company was the sole regional agent of international brands such as Heidelberg, Michelin and Intertype. When she met Nadeem and visited with him the Karm El Zeytoun workshops, she agreed to make the same life commitment. Lily then joined Nadeem in developing the mission of Al-Kafaàt by working side by side with him. Like Nadeem, Lily also dedicated her own personal wealth to the Foundation.
