GRADUATING TO LIFE

It was the perfect day: the « Fête de la Musique » combined with Father’s Day, to celebrate the rites of passage of young adults with intelligence handicaps from The Myriam Center to The Village Center.

As is the tradition every year, children with intelligence handicaps who have reached the age of 15 and who can move on to integrate the sheltered workshops of Al-Kafaàt, are at the heart of a big celebration. It is the opportunity for their friends and colleagues at The Myriam Center to send them away to the Village Center with positive energy and vibes.

The yearly fun event featured a lot of dancing and various performances organized by the different groups, and then it ended with the « graduation » of 7 children with intelligence handicaps who have now become young adults after spending their childhood at The Myriam Center, and can thus move on to become semi-independent in The Village of the Foundation.
